This is lead actor James Powell and director Don Bitters third film together. Pietro D’Allessio who plays Daniel practices Method acting. Pietro slept during takes to stay in character and always be drowsy and unaware, and often became so invested in the character, Don at times had trouble knowing if he was talking to Pietro or Daniel. Daniel’s kitchen was completely stark white and had to be redone for shooting with yellow wallpaper. Yellow tape acted as the borders for the cabinets. Death’s study was built in an artist’s studio in south Chicago. The wooden floors in the study are the only original part of the room seen in the film. When Death ransacks the study some of the set pieces were actually damaged. In order to achieve the shaking effect of the meteor’s approach, several of the crew members were placed around the kitchen, kicking or shaking items and furniture just off camera. |
