Long Synopsis
Death, the Grim Reaper, sits in his ancient Victorian study, a place frozen in time, almost in another world. He begins writing out the death of a man named Daniel Matthews. Daniel wakes up and heads to the kitchen for another average day, unaware of what's in store for him. Death writes out Daniel's last moments, quickly finishing him off with a coffee can to the head. However, he's unsatisfied with such a pointless death, so he crosses it out and rewrites it, so that a cabinet crushes him instead. Still it doesn't fit, so he starts trying death after death, each one crazier than the last. From meteors to midgets, Daniel gets the full run of ways to die. Meanwhile Daniel goes through these deaths, coming back to life each time completely unharmed, but remembering what just happened to him. Eventually, Grim can't handle the writing any more, and takes his anger out on his study, tearing the place apart. Daniel's just waiting for the next death to hit him, but it never comes. Death plods back to the desk, and writes out “Daniel lives happily ever after, The End.” A moment later, it's crossed out.
